It is our hope that this is an attractive alternative to traveling to a conference or a seminar which can be very expensive and leave you sometimes with little to show for your efforts.    This service is very straightforward. This up-to-date service offers inexpensive, current home study, and online continuing education contact hours that pertain to the field of counseling in the school and the community settings.  This service is offered here to any counseling professional in need of continuing education to enhance their knowledge of a subject pertaining to counseling and/or to renew licensure or certification for a wide variety of purposes.  The courses are coordinated and maintained by a practicing, professional counselor, Budd A. Moore, Ed.D, NCC, NCCC, NCSC, LCPC, MCC, LPC. His resume is available on the site.  It is anticipated that professional counselors who have specific areas of expertise will be invited to author additional study courses in the near future.  Therefore, this site will be changing frequently.  There are 8 benefits to taking courses through this organization.   

1. Courses are offered in eight of the Approved Content Areas established by the National Board for Certified Counselors. You earn 10 contact hours for each course. 

2. You save time by studying at home at YOUR convenience.  The books are readily available in The Bookstore and the supplementary reading and study materials are available on this site. The site may be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

3. The course fees are affordable with no travel, hotel, or meal expenses to pay.

4. Current textbooks that are employed are inexpensive, easily obtainable,  and are the main learning tools of each course. Amazon serves as our bookstore where you can easily purchase the necessary books.  Books can also be purchased locally or borrowed from libraries or educational resource centers. Exam content is based upon the book and supplementary materials located on this site. 

5. There is no deadline for the completion of any course.  Contact hours are awarded immediately upon completion of the final examination and the payment of the course fees.  Approval of The National Board For Certified Counselors is indicated in RED in the Course Catalog Page for courses that are ready for registration.  Our Provider Number is #5936.  Fees are collected when you have completed your study and take the final examination. All fees must be paid to get the exam scored with certificates and official transcripts issued upon completion.  Courses in YELLOW are under construction and will be available when complete. 6. Practicing counselors with expertise in a variety of areas in the field will be authoring courses for future publication.  The site will be continually changing as new offerings are posted.

Contact Hours From CounselingCEUsOnline are acceptable for the renewal of licensure in the following states: Alabama, California, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia   

Note: While a vast majority of State Licensure Boards and Certification renewal bodies accept online courses for continuing education credit toward credential renewal, some may not. CounselingCEUsOnline cannot guarantee that any course material presented through this service will be accepted by a particular license or certification body. To avoid disappointment in that regard, please verify if your licensure board or certification body accepts these courses prior to registration.

A fee is charged for scoring the Open-Book Examination for contact hours. Personal checks or money orders are accepted in payment for the examination scoring and awarding of credit.
