all exams to a narrative format. Some exams will have narrative exam

The examinations in each course are open-book and consist of one essay question that must be answered in a narrative format, typed [double-spaced] and should be completed in not less than 4 pages and not more than 5 pages in length. Course fees are expected before the examinations are scored and the contact hours are awarded.
A student may not obtain contact hours from the course without attaining a 2, 3, or 4 level of competency. Examinations will be scored immediately upon receipt of the completed exam, the course fees, the Course Evaluation, and the Honor Pledge. Scores will be mailed to the student attesting to the fact that the he/she has passed or failed the course. If the student passed the examination with the appropriate level of competency, submitted Honor Pledge, submitted a Course Evaluation, and submitted the course fee, the contact hours will be awarded.
Carefully READ the instructions to each individual examination and follow those instructions for completion of the exam and submission of your answer for scoring.
If a student fails to achieve a score of 2, 3, or 4 on the examination for any course, he/she will be permitted to take the examination only one more time. A $20.00 retake fee is assessed for this service. A different form of the examination will be given on a retake. The fee must be received before the retake version of the examination is sent to the student. If the student passes the examination on the second take, he/she will be awarded the contact hours, certificate, letter of congratulations, and an official transcript. If the student fails to achieve a score of 2, 3, or 4 on the second administration of the examination, the course cannot be repeated. There will be NO third administration of the examination. Students may employ any non-human source in completing the open-book course examination ;however, the student response must thoroughly and completely answer the question.
Examinations for each course are periodically changed or revised. You will not receive your examination back or the examination key. Only the score and a brief indication of the competency displayed by your answer will be sent to you upon completion.
An Honor Pledge is required of each student and is attached to each examination. It must be signed by the student and returned with the examination. See Honor Pledge Page. Completed student examinations are maintained by CounselingCEUsOnline for five years from the test date.
