CCEUS02 - DSM IV for School Counselors [Approved for 10 contact hours by The National Board For Certified Counselors - Provider #5936] - [$50.00 - NO OTHER COURSE FEES APPLY]This course is an overview of the DSM IV as a tool for the classification of psychopathology for counselors. The student will become familiar with the basic format of the DSM IV and will discover the usefulness of this tool in the school setting. Particular attention will be paid to the classification of conditions peculiar to childhood and adolescents along with mastery of some of the basic characteristics evident in these categories. Commentary on treatment for these populations will be reviewed from the perspective of the school counselor.
